Casino Namur: Amir Pahlawani leads at the Circus Cup
The Germans put in a strong performance in the € 550 Circus Cup of the Circus Poker Series (CPS) at the Circus Casino Resort Namur. Amir Pahlawani leads the last 29 players into the final.
Of the 1,334 entries, there were 362 players left going into Day 2 yesterday, November 30. The prize pool of € 602,701 was distributed to the first 199 places and so almost half of the field still came away empty-handed. Markus Giesen was the chip leader and he should also make it through the day with aplomb, although this time he ended up in midfield with 1,075,000 chips.
Instead, it was Amir Pahlawani who took the lead with 3,775,000 chips, with Elmar Schüti (2,070,000), AAlglatt (1,700,000) and Pooly4711 (1,600,000) as well as Alexander Thiel (940,000) and Abdessamad Ayyad (212,000) also in the mix.
All 29 have now already secured €2,220, the winner can look forward to a whopping €90,000, and the top 9 will also receive a sponsored €2,200 CPS ticket.
Day 1B of the € 1,100 Mystery Bounty (€ 500,000/50k/50′) will also start at 2 pm and the PLO final will be held at 3 pm. There is also the € 150 Sunday Special (€ 10,000 GTD/30k/15) as a side event.
